Recently, friends invited us to the local park for a picnic and some summer sledding. It was the perfect time of day; the sun was going down and it was pleasantly warm. The kids scarfed up their picnic dinners and then we were off to the big hill for some sledding. This video cracks me up- it was the first time the Dearest had gone down the hill with a passenger!
And of course LM had to try riding down with Dadda...they went very fast and very far!
LM is getting good at turning the sled...check out how he carves the turn to avoid heading toward the bumpy bit by the trees:
And finally, our neighbor just *had* to show off! LOL
A friend of ours invited the Dearest and the small men out for an afternoon of sledding...sans snow! R has a grass sled, which looks like a regular sled except it has wheels underneath so you can go downhill on the grass.
Everyone had a ball...they started out on the smaller hills and then worked their way up to the Big Hill.
Evidently, the more weight on the sled, the faster you go!
And of course the kids had to race each other down the hill...
I think it was a fun way to spend the afternoon! The small ones came back grass stained and sweaty- just the way they should after all that hard play.
